Consultant Neurologist
I live in the countryside near Nottingham with my partner and a dog. I have four adult children who have all left home. I grew up in East Twickenham and attended Shene Grammar School after passing the eleven plus. After A levels I attended St Bartholomew’s Medical School, graduating in 1986 with MBBS, BSc (Hons). My post - graduate training took me to London, Bristol and Gloucester. I gained my MD following research at the Postgraduate Medical School Hammersmith Hospital. I have been a Consultant Neurologist in Nottingham since 1998. I have more recently branched out into acute medicine, acute stroke and maternal medicine. I was formerly a Medical Examiner and GIRFT Clinical Ambassador. I speak Italian to upper intermediate level and am a qualified Amateur Boxing ringside judge and time keeper. I have limited expertise in falconry and beekeeping! I am an avid reader and active member of an online book club.
